This privacy policy explains how Big Sky Site Services (“we,” “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit bigskysiteservices.com or contact us through it. We are a small, local business based at 5600 Highway 93 S, Whitefish, MT 59937. We keep this simple: we collect what we need to answer your request, and we do not sell your information.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out a quote request or contact form, we collect what you enter, such as your name, phone number, email address, company, project or event location, dates, the services you need, and any notes. If you call us, we keep the details you share so we can follow up.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our site and hosting provider automatically record basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and the date and time of your visit. This helps us keep the site secure and working properly.
How we use your information
- To respond to your quote request or question, and to schedule delivery, service and pickup.
- To send you quotes, invoices and service updates.
- To keep the website secure, prevent spam and fix problems.
- To understand, in general terms, how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
We do not use your information for unrelated marketing without your permission, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Contact and quote forms
Our forms are built with Gravity Forms. Form entries are stored in our website database and sent to our team by email so we can respond. To block spam, our forms use Google reCAPTCHA, which may collect device and usage information and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We keep form entries only as long as we need them for the job, our records and legal obligations.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Our site uses cookies that are needed for it to work and stay secure. If we add website analytics (for example, Google Analytics), it uses cookies to measure visits in aggregate, such as which pages are popular. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, although some features may not.
Facebook and other embedded content
Some pages show our Facebook page using Facebook’s Page Plugin. Embedded content behaves as if you visited Facebook directly. Facebook (Meta) may set cookies and collect information about your visit, especially if you are logged in to Facebook. See Meta’s Privacy Policy for details. Our maps use OpenStreetMap tiles, which load from OpenStreetMap servers.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business and the website, and only as needed:
- Website hosting: our site is hosted by WP Engine, which stores the site and its data on secure servers.
- Email and business tools we use to answer you and manage jobs.
- Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA), as described above.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable safeguards, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, security software, limited access to form entries and regular updates. No website is perfectly secure, so please don’t send sensitive information such as payment card numbers through our forms.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we must keep. Just call us or use our contact page. You can also opt out of any marketing messages at any time.
Children’s privacy
Our website is meant for adults planning projects and events. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
